Moto Tetsuko - Clan Champion

The patriarch of the Unicorn clan, Tetsuko is, bar none, the greatest horseman in the empire. He has created several cavalry maneuvers that have been lauded for both their insight and their devastating results. He does not speak of the dark fate shared by many of his family. A thoughtful strategist and leader of his clan, he is ever ready to lead the Unicorn into combat.

Ide Morimoto

Ide Morimoto is often regarded as the greatest duelist in the Empire. A cocky but skilled samurai whose focus in life is dueling. A paragon of the blade, he has spent his life studying the art of the sword. It is rumored that he would have been an instructor at the Kakita Dueling school where he trained had he been a member of that clan. Even when it seems as though he has lost a duel, he somehow finds a way to succeed. In one memorable duel against a former Lion champion, he seemed to have intentionally let himself be cut in order to use his own blood to blind his opponent.

Shinjo Katsuro

Katsuro appears to be a very old man and in fact there are not many who can claim to have know him when he was young. Katsuro was a diplomat, investigator, and general to previous Unicorn champions. After many battles against the Shadowlands, including one that permanently damaged both of his arms, he decided to retire. Since then he has spent his time in small villages drinking and playing Go. Morimoto knew of Katsuro as he was a distant relative of his. Katsuro was known to have a keen intellect and was highly-respected before he disappeared. Needing a magistrate that he knew he could trust, he tracked down Katsuro and has forced him to sober up. Katsuro has begun to resemble his former self, although much older now. He is unknown to most of the current world and now seeks to improve his standing.
