Yoritomo Toyotomi - Clan ChampionThe current Champion of the Mantis clan, he was pushed into the position early with the death of the previous Mantis Champion from the Gaijin Plague. He is a current officer of the Storm Legion and continues to serve. Physically, he is an impressive man. He is, without a doubt, the great grandson of Yoritomo himself, and a direct descendant of Osano-Wo. He stands slightly over 6 foot tall and has a powerful build. He shows the muscular ability of both a sailor and a great warrior. He has vowed to one day wield the Ancestral Kamas of the original Yoritomo. |

Tsuruchi YakuniThe eldest son of Tsuruchi daimyo, Yakuni is prepared to take the position anytime that fate declares it. Although older than Toyotomi, the two spent a good deal of time together growing up, and Yakuni is considered Toyotomi's right hand man. The two only occasionally see each other these days, since they are both occupied with a great deal of work in rebuilding the Clan provinces. Yakuni is a wiry man, not so much the sailor as the consumate acrobat. He is equally at ease with a pair of sailing knives as he is with the family bow and arrow. |

Moshi AsunaAlthough well into her prime, Asuna is often perceived to be a much younger woman. Perhaps it is her vigor with which she pursues her duties or perhaps her enduring youthful appearance, but probably a bit of both. She is a cousin of both the Moshi family daimyo and of Toyotomi and serves as the primary Mantis liason in court. She is a a well figured woman, as to be expected of a sailing woman of the Mantis Clan, but by no means overweight. |

Yoritomo KatshuichiYoritomo Katshuichi is an old man. Many years ago he studied in the Akodo War College, learning from the great generals of the premier tactical school in the Empire. He even taught Genai briefly before returning to the Mantis Isles. He served for many years as the Mantis Champions personal advisor on land based military affairs and led many troops to victory on many battlefields. During his day, he was considered an exceptional general and an outspoken critic of the Phoenix. He retired to a monastary one year before the Plague first struck. With the loss of so many great leaders Toyotomi has asked him to once again return to serve the Mantis as it's General. |
